We are excited to support the creation of the Shenendehowa Special Education PTA (SEPTA), a parent‑led initiative bringing families, educators, and community members together to support students with special needs across our district.
What is SEPTA and Why Does it Matter?
SEPTA is a unique organization that focuses on the specific needs of students with disabilities. Unlike a traditional PTA that encompasses the entire school community, a SEPTA provides specialized resources, advocacy, and support tailored specifically for students with special needs. With 1,110 students with special needs in Shenendehowa, representing 12% of our district, it’s vital that families have access to meaningful support structures.
